Pine Marten Lodge 05, Loch Rannoch Highland Club

Views were outstanding and relaxing good nights sleep. Positive: Loch Rannoch Highland Club was in a beautiful setting and I enjoyed reading my book with a view of Schehallion accross the beautiful loch. Our stay was to visit the Scout Jambotette in Blair Athol on the saturday but it was a bit more of a treck than we realised along the narrow windey roads. We would stay again but maybe not for the Scout Jamborette open day that didnt finnish until 10.30pm. Negative: We had to cover the over powering air freshner in the hall that was giving me a migraine. There was no need for it especially as we had the windows open when we were home. Please re think this as really upset our stay.

Excellent accommodation with stunning views Positive: The location was perfect and the views were stunning!! We were welcomed by the staff, the accommodation was excellent!! Negative: The experience we had in the hotel was another matter. The waiting on staff in the Brownie room for evening meal were rude and unnattentive, and considering I was there for a birthday meal, quite unimpressed. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and then had to ask twice for water. Our starter came out with our mains and when I told the bar staff who delivered my drink, he responded with 'shoulda, woulda, coulda'. He was very rude!! We didn't see our waiter who took our order for the rest of the evening. Luckily the waitress who served us after was polite and helpful and the food was lovely.
