Tired accommodation but very clean and excellent value for money, can recommend. Positive: Beautiful location, lovely views, very clean apartment, dog friendly. Kitchen well-equipped for self catering. Friendly staff. Lots of walks nearby. Negative: Apartment (1 bedroom) was quite tired and needing some refreshment, but this did not detract from our stay and we were very impressed by the cleanliness. Car parking space allocated was on a very very steep hill- put boulders under our back wheels like other guests had done, bit tricky to get in and out of. We did phone reception to ask if any other spaces were available for our stay but unfortunately they were fully booked. Property built on steep hillside, so some sections of steep hill/lots of steps which was fine for us but may be difficult for those less able. Late check out for a fee of £35/hr if available rather than free. Not many grassy options/spaces for taking the dogs out for the bathroom, particularly off-lead due to deer and sheep on the property. (Not a fault of the property! Just a note for anyone booking with dogs) Also be mindful the local shop has limited choices and opening hours, although we did see major supermarket delivery vans operating in the area which would be good for longer stays.
