Loch Rannoch Highland Club, Lochside Lodge 05

Wonderful stay Positive: It was a beautiful location. The accomodations we’re wonderful and well equipoed. Negative: It was a bit far from places we wanted to visit but we managed.

Lovely relaxing stay. Positive: Lovely lochside cottage. Bedrooms are downstairs and kitchen openplan living room on ffirst floor. Both levels have a balcony with loch view. Lovely comfortable stay, furniture and decor is a bit dated but we travelled with young children and felt a bit more relaxed without fear of spillages etc on brand new furniture. Negative: Because we only stayed 2 nights and needed to be out by 10am on departure day I felt check in time of 4.30pm on arrival day a bit late. Would have preferred a bit sooner and whilst I appreciate you need to allow time for cleaners from previous guests I felt it just made our first evening and unpacking time a bit late in the day.

Great view and location and friendly staff Positive: Great location with excellent view of the loch and hills. The staff were kind enough to provide us transportation to pick and drop our elderly parent with mobility issues from the bus stop. Clean lodge with good kitchenware provided. The location while reached by public transport from Pitlochry still feels remote. There is hardly any place to buy groceries nearby save for a post office store and fine dining restaurant so need to be prepared with groceries. There is a new cafe/pub by the waterfall nearby which is very nice. Negative: The beds in the second bedroom is quite tough and the first bedroom's one could be comfier.

Great place - sure we will come back! Positive: It was really beautiful - the view from the room was stunning. I did not expect that! Also the sauna was very nice. Pretty sure we will return in the future! Negative: Some of the furniture seemed a bit old.
