Perfect weekend get away in gorgeous location. Positive: Great location. Spacious. Well equipped. Wonderful views from the sun room. Negative: No complaints.

A little tired but good if you get at the right price Positive: We stayed in Highland Lodge 1, a 2 bedroom split level accommodation . Very spacious and comfortable upstairs in the living dining area. Good cooking facilities with large streaming TV and large sun room. Heating worked well as did the sauna ( once we found the controls which are in a separate cupboard in the hallway). The place was clean with good linens. Views are stunning. Good parking outside We read the roads were a problem but all the routes we took in and out were in good condition and pretty quiet even on a bank holiday weekend. Negative: Sun terrace roof leaking where it joins the building leaving a puddle of water on the tiles as you step in. Dangerous. Window sills in there need replacing. Worst thing is the overpowering smell of mould and damp wafting up from the bathroom downstairs. We found that if the bathroom extractor fan was left to run continuously 24hrs then the smell went away. Food in the hotel bar was expensive and very average. Fish and chips ok, balmoral chicken poor and the burgers are a joke. Bring your own food and save yourself a fortune
